Festive Wreath Making

Enjoy a relaxing wreath-making workshop this winter, blissfully surrounded by festive foliage. You’ll be guided through the step-by-step process of making your own unique wreath, starting with a willow whip base that can be reused year after year. With a focus on locally sourced and sustainable greenery, there will be an abundance of freshly foraged evergreens like pine, holly and cedar and other seasonal staples like trailing ivy. A spectacular haul of natural adornments will be available to embellish your creation with, including flowers, fruit slices, seedheads, herbs and pinecones – all lovingly collected and hand-dried just for these workshops.

Seasonal refreshments, materials and tuition are all included in the price, but feel free to bring along any extra bits from home that you want to include on your wreath.

Workshops are held Riverbank Cottage, my rural home nestled in the Piddle Valley, just outside of Wareham. I am running both adult and family friendly sessions, so do book early to secure your place, especially if you wish to book with others.

There are currently four dates for the adult workshops:

Thursday 4th December 1-3pm

Friday 6th December 7-9pm

Monday 8th December 1-3pm

Monday 8th December 7-9pm

Family Friendly Wreath Making Workshop:

Friday 5th December, 9:30am-12:30pm

For the family friendly session, more time is allocated so that you can make your wreath at a leisurely pace alongside meeting the needs of your little one(s). There will be toys for toddlers and babies to play with, and I am happy to lend a hand where needed. You are welcome to bring someone else to support you; if they'd like to make their own wreath, please book them a ticket, but if they're just coming to support you with your littlies, no need to do so.

Book now to secure your place!

£40 earlybird price (book by 5th November)

£45 for bookings after 5th November

You can book online below, or contact me for Paypal or bank transfer options. For group bookings, do book early!

Please note that all workshops are non-refundable, but you will be able to transfer your place to someone else if you can no longer make it.

What Clients Say

"Lucy hosted such a lovely session last year and I am so excited to make more beautiful, natural wreaths with her this December.  I took my baby along and it was easy to dip in and out, with Lucy lending a hand and sharing so much knowledge about the natural materials that we weaved into our wreaths."

Marja W

"Hi, Lucy I really enjoyed the wreath making session. Not having been to anything like it before I was not sure what to expect but to me everything was delightful and really interesting. The time flew past and all the choice of greenery you provided was amazing. The making of the base with willow canes was to me most informative. A very enjoyable time."

MH

"Thank you so much for the gorgeous workshop yesterday. I am so happy with my wreath and it was beautiful to have some quiet and creative time to focus on making it. Thank you again for creating such a welcoming and warm space and for all the work that you put in to providing this and the materials for us to work with."

Helen

"I loved, loved the wreath making. Your incredible efforts really made it such a special crafting experience."

Katharine

"I just wanted to let you know how very much I enjoyed the workshop this afternoon. You had obviously spent so much time preparing the willow and foraging the foliage and you were generous of spirit the whole afternoon. Thankyou so much, the wreath will always be part of our family Christmas."

R

"Thank you for putting on the class and welcoming us into your lovely home. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. It's so nice to be able to learn a new skill in a relaxed social environment like that. It was lovely to have drinks and nibbles too."

Hannah

"Wreath making with Lucy was worth every penny! The variety of foliage and decorations that were all lovingly prepared was incredible, you could really tell that a lot of time had gone into making sure everything was perfectly dried out and pruned to go onto the wreaths.
It was all clearly explained and so that the youngest participants felt engaged and confident to go ahead and create a beautiful wreath too! Everything was included so you just turn up and let the creativity flow, there was nibbles and drinks, I could have stayed there all day making them!"
