Drumming For Healing
~ Next Workshop Date: Monday 20th October 2025 ~
7-9pm, at Riverbank Cottage, Wareham
Join us at the next Drumming For Healing workshop in October, which will be going ahead as long as my baby has not arrived extra-early!
This workshop will be held around the fire at my rural home, just outside of Wareham. If the weather is fair, we will drum around the fire in our fire circle, between our garden and our strip of ancient woodland. It is a magical space where we hold ceremonies all year round; you can enjoy the energies of Oak and Holly trees that are hundreds of years old, as well as the River Piddle, which will be right beside us. If it is raining, we will be inside drumming around the log-burner.
Remember to wear clothing that is warm (layers are good) and washes easily - fireside drumming can leave your clothes smelling a little smoky afterwards. Bring a lidded travel mug if you think you might like a hot drink – I’ll have a hot water urn inside with teas you can help yourself to before or after the session.
You’ll step out of your busy mind and into place of calm, clarity and connection. During the session you’ll anchor into the present moment, ground into your body, and access healing for mind, body and spirit.
The drum naturally clears away stagnant energy, and brings things to the surface for acknowledgement and release. You will be held in safe space to go as deep as you are called to, so that you leave feeling brighter, clearer, and reinvigorated.
You’ll learn more about shamanic drumming processes that will offer therapeutic benefits and also help you deepen your connection with the spirit realm.
Each Drumming For Healing session is different from the last. In the past, we have looked at play, cleansing, clearing, connecting with nature, drumming in circle, movement and more. We always put our focus on healing - for yourself, for others, and for Mother Earth. You may finish the workshop feeling calm and relaxed; you may feel invigorated and refreshed. Either way, you will leave lighter, brighter and clearer than when you arrived.
